I love Luke, he seriously makes me soooo happy.

6 Month Stats and chocolate delight!

Luke tried some yummy chocolate ice cream the other night. Papi wasn't doing a very good job at trying to get him to sleep! but he loved it! His face was priceless.


Luke had his 6 month doctor appointment today! He is doing great and is turning into a tall skinny boy just like his Papa Knerr!
Luke weighs 16.18lbs (18%ile)
His height is 27.33 inches (71%ile)
His head circumference is 17 inches (25%ile)

The doctor recommended that we add formula to his fruits and veggies just to add some extra calories because his weight percentile has dropped a little bit. At 2 months he was at the 41%ile, 4 months the 29%ile and now the 18%ile. But he is still growing tall steadily in the 70%iles. I'm pretty sure I'm feeding him plenty-- he is still primarily on breast milk and eats a solid about once a day. We now have WIC providing lots of baby food for him though so he will start to step it up with more solids! We will start trying meats soon! :)

An update on cute things that he does:
- He drinks from a cup-- he gets so excited to have some of Papi's juice!
- He rolls from his back on to his tummy. It's funny cuz he doesn't really like to be on his tummy and he gets stuck and can't roll back! He does this often when he wakes up at night or after a nap. I usually find him struggling on his tummy in his crib.
- He rarely takes a binky. He loved it as a newborn but after we lost it for a couple weeks, he never really took it again. He does like to hold it and chew on it though.
- He loves it when we make funny noises at him. We make whistling noises or slurping noises or purring noises and he just laughs and giggles. It's so cute!
- His hair getting longer but he still has his bald spot in the back!

Well, that's all I can think of for now!

Fun in the bath!

So Luke had a little photo shoot in the bath for his Gramma K because she is decorating her bathroom in pictures of her grand-kids in the bath! I thought they turned out pretty cute so I thought I'd quickly share some with you!

Sugar cookies for Father's Day!

After family pictures on Saturday (which we still have to make a post for), we came back home with my brother and his family and decided to cook some garlic shrimp and bake some sugar cookies. Both treats were delicious! Even Emily had some of the juice from the shrimp sauce with rice (She hates the texture of shrimp!).

The cookies were for father's day on Sunday. We went up in the canyon and cooked bratwurst with Victor and Amanda and her father! It was really fun, but we actually had a hard time finding a good spot because the canyon was FULL of families celebrating!

While baking Luke was sitting on the table and dived inside the bowl that held the dough and knocked the flour container off the table. Gladly it landed on the chair right side up. The most damage was a startled baby with a little flour on his face and hair!

Nathaniel's favorite part was cutting the cookies into hearts! He didn't like to touch the dough until we showed him how fun it was! Then he was playing with it like play dough! He had lots of fun.

He was super concentrated trying to get it right, which he did! :)

Luke has been getting into everything lately, it is like he CANNOT keep his hands to himself, but not only that, he is also into his feet! As the following pictures depict it.

I finally took the DAT a week ago. I studied so much for that single test! I'll say more than 300 hours!! It is finally over and I'm very pleased with the scored that I got. Now all we have to do is sit a wait for interviews, hopefully a school will take me in!

I'm back to summer school only taking two classes and one of them is all on line which is great!

A couple weeks ago we were able to spend time with Amanda and our adorable nephew Nathaniel and our sweet nice Madyson. We had the pool and everything for our babies and here are some pictures.

Mayan Restaurant.

So these pictures are from way back in May. We had such a good time with the family. I'm so grateful that I have a big family and they are always there for me... sometimes too much : )
This was our first time in the Mayan restaurant and it was super fun. Their theme is some sort of Mexican jungle, even though I've never been to Mexico, least to say a jungle!!! The whole restaurant is in a cave and inside they have a waterfall. Every 15 minutes or so, there are "expert" divers that do their thing and jump off the cliff. On our way out we took these pictures. It was a fun night and Luke was a literal sleeping angel, he slept :)

Happy B-day Sweet heart!

So Francisco turned 25 on mothers day. This month we have been eating like crazy. For mothers day we went to the Mayan restaurant. A week ago we had Francisco's b-day party and last Tuesday we went to Tucanos. I need to post pictures of the other adventures, there are a few funny ones.

Please don't blame us for taking so many pictures!!!

Okay, I don't know what has happened to my sweet little baby!

He is such a turkey! He woke up around 8:30 this morning and took only one short nap after forcing it on him by taking him on a walk. (He always falls asleep in either the car or the stroller). It is now 8:30pm. I have done our bed time routine. I have fed him silly, I have swaddled him, let him cry, rocked him, sung to him, EVERYTHING! He is currently playing with his toys on his play mat. But this probably won't last very long as he has been so fussy ever since he woke up this morning!

He also doesn't sleep through the night anymore! For example last night he woke up 3 times, I think. Ugh! He better sleep tonight since he must be exhausted!

Anyway, I don't know what to do! Any advice to get this turkey to sleep?

Oh imagine that, he's crying again... What a surprise!
