I love this woman!

She's all natural

Being an excellent mother comes natural for her! She truly excels at it. She's the BEST and I'm not bias. She's the best wife ever too! How in the world did I get so LUCKY!??

All the boys in the house love her! At this time in my life I have what I've always wanted... a beautiful wife, beautiful children.. a happy family ;)

Love you Em

I don't know what's in store for us.

Our precious Sam had his sleeping test done this last week. We decided to go ahead a do the test to see if we get any new insights as to why Sam is not gaining any weight for the last couple of months. He is so tiny at almost 21 lbs. That's right he's not even 21 lbs :( (he does eat like a champ, though) I promise... we do feed that kid. Anyhow the test was overnight at the hospital, Emily took him. They hook him up to these machines to monitor his breathing and to figure out his oxygen saturation levels, or if there is any obstruction/broken CNS signaling, etc. etc. The technician putting all the electrodes on Sam said that he was the best 2 year old he's ever had (he's not 2 quite yet). Sam just let him do his thing and got all the electrodes placed with a really sticky tape. (We tried lime, alcohol, lotion and still doesn't rub off). We won't have the results for a week or so but the technician did point out that his oxygen was low... in the low 90s. For children his age the range is usually 96-100%. Now what does that mean besides he's not getting enough oxygen?... We don't know, how serious it is? we don't know. They had to give him a little bit of oxygen and it just makes me feel horrible that we haven't been given him oxygen. Perhaps that's why he breaths faster and he's burning more calories trying to keep up. Maybe as a parent I'm freaking out a little, and I know I am. It just breaks my heart to see my little one like this. He has no clue what's going on, he's such a good sport and very active. They didn't say we needed to give him oxygen or anything so we'll see what the report says.

I love my little Sam and I wonder what Heavenly Father has in store in the future for him... for us. I just pray that he will be able to grow out of it (whatever it is that's wrong with him). I can't help but to worry about him constantly.  Ever since he was born he's had medical issues, I just want the doctor appointments the uncertainty to be OVER!

On the bright side he is completely unaware of everything, he rarely wines when taking his medicines/inhaler. He knows how to count till 10 (Spanish/English) or at least he knows diez or ten.  He has a family that loves him to pieces and a big brother that takes care of him. They both have so much fun together.

Poor little thing. He did get to watch TV till 10 pm :)

Hopefully this will shine some light on his medical issues.

We tried everything to get the glue out

The cut on his chin is healing...

Right before bed Luke wanted crazy hair!

Our baby Sam

As every parent out there we have been terrified with stairs and a 20 month old that wants to climb them by himself standing up. Sam definitely thinks he is a grown up man and that he can go up and down the stairs with ease. While part of it is true, he does go up and down the stairs on his feet, he's still our baby.

Today we went to the park and I'm sad to report that he fell down two steps on a tricycle and cut his chin. He bled pretty bad, but after a quick visit to the ER (which happen to be across the street) these two anxious parents (or at least I was) managed to keep it cool.  The entire time at the ER Luke managed to get super hungry and needed to go potty. We weren't there for long, but Luke managed to go to the bathroom twice and constantly, that is constantly said that he was hungry as soon as he finished each snack that we had.
Sam got some sort of strip adhesive tape instead of stitches and he is doing great!

Here's a pic of our little one with his wound glued.

The prophets really know what they're talking about.

“Sadly, the effects of this great pollution are perhaps most evident in the mass media, films, television, and popular music. Of this, Senator Robert D. Byrd said, ‘If we in this nation continue to sow the images of murder, violence, drug abuse, … perversion, [and] pornography … before the eyes of millions of children, year after year and day after day, we should not be surprised if the foundations of our society rot away as if from leprosy’ (in Michael Medved, Hollywood vs. America [New York: Harper Perennial, 1992], p. 194).
“… In most areas of the mass media there seems to be a declaration of war against almost everything the majority treasures most: the family, religion, and patriotism. Marriage is degraded, while premarital and extramarital relations are encouraged and glamorized. Profanity and the foulest of vulgar gutter language bombard the ears of all who listen. … Human life itself is trivialized by the constant barrage of violence and killings” (in Conference Report, Oct. 1993, 12; or Ensign, Nov. 1993, 11). (Book of Mormon Student Manual, Chapter 49: Mormon 7–9)

While doing scripture study together(which doesn't happen all the often), Francisco and I came across this quote in the institute Book of Mormon manual. This was said in 1992 and 1993! Over 10 years ago, they said TV was bad. I'm pretty sure it is way worse now and I am scared to watch that prophesy come to pass. The media can be so damaging and we need to be so careful with what we let out children and our selves see and watch! I absolutely believe every word of what is said here. Please think twice about what you are watching and have the courage to turn it off!
