Arizona Wedding Trip

So, as everyone knows, we all went to Arizona for Jeff's wedding. It was great! We love Promise and are so excited to get to know her better. The temple (Snowflake AZ Temple) was just gorgeous. The reception was great and I think everything went smoothly!

The trip was nice, although I had a ridiculous amount of homework due the following week and therefore was supposed to do it on the road. Well... I did do some but probably not as much as I should have. Oh well! It all worked out and I got all my homework and papers in and I did well on my presentations (I had 2 that week). It's just really hard to read text books when you have a bored husband driving in the middle of nowhere and it's hard to create power points when the sun is so bright that you can't see the screen! ( I actually ended up putting a blanket over my head and the laptop so that I could see it! It worked well!)

Anyway, on the way to Arizona, we followed Sarah and Brett the whole way. It was nice because we didn't have to worry about directions and we got to hang out when we stopped to eat. We ate Burger King twice on that trip because that was all there was! Ick! (None of us even LIKE Burger King) We did bring snacks though so it wasn't too bad.

We really enjoyed the scenery in Arizona and Southern Utah. We passed through several National parks and on the way home, we stopped at a really cool canyon. I think it was called Glen Canyon. We also really liked the cactus forests but didn't get a picture of them! They were so cool! You know the classic giant cacti? They were just like that! but fields of them!

We had fun seeing my parents and getting to know some of Promise's family. She has an uncle who lives in Provo and his wife is from Peru so they both spoke Spanish. Therefore Francisco made them believe that I spoke fluent Spanish so they talked to me in total natural spanish. yeah. So, I can speak Spanish but I don't understand it when they get all talkity and slangy so appearently she was telling me how to prepare some soup... hmm. I had NO idea she was saying that. haha They were very nice though. :)

It's been awhile and I'm procrastinating...

These were the flowers Francisco got me for my birthday! They started out a little beat up, but with some water and love, they looked beautiful! I came home from work the night before my birthday and Francisco had these on top of my presents all set up in the living room! Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes and presents! It turned out to be a pretty good birthday. :)



Francisco and I went rock climbing about a month ago... I convinced him to take me to the Quarry, a local rock gym because I missed rock climbing! (I used to have friends take me often enough to keep me satified but I hadn't gone in awhile) So, we went and I think he liked it even more than I did! but It's wicked expensive so we can't go real often...
This is me on the bouldering wall (you just climb without getting hooked up and stuff) but I didn't like these walls because I couldn't get down!!!! I has too scared to jump and my arms were too tired to climb down. So I would never get very high on these ones. I did make it to the top on one of the easier runs down at the regular walls.
and Francisco was a pro! He could just climb right up with no problems! We only had someone take pictures of the real wall when he was climbing! So that's why I have no proof of me on the tall walls.

Anyway it was great fun! Afterwards we went to Coldstone for icecream and bought a lamp from Shopko (from my parents for Christmas-- Thanks Ma and Pa!) and Francisco left his lights on in the car so we had to ask someone to help us jump it! Silly boy. We are just thankful for so many nice people in Utah!

Life is good! :)

Aw the glorious weekend! Oh how I love the weekend... It is SO good!

I don't have much to report, but I felt that we should post a new blog cuz the last one was BORING after Ma made me take off the picture... o well.

So, school has started once again. So far so good. I don't know. It's good I guess. :)

Uh, the weather is nice... It's been sunny and not to snowy. It's good too. :)

Mis padres came to Utah for awhile. That was super good. I miss them.

Little Claire was born and I just learned in school that the mom should gain at least 25lbs because any lower then that would increase risk for infant death, low birth weight, and less developed organs, causing more complications. So, I'm just glad that Claire is still perfect... So, that's good. :)

Do you like my new background? I think it's good. :)

oh and the picture was taken on New year's Eve about a half an hour before midnight. We had our faces painted. Francisco is a "cool pirate" and you can't even see mine, but it was just flowers around my eyes. :)

So, as you can see, LIFE IS GOOD!

Any way we had a B-day with the family and it was fun. We eat cake, we danced and we did the Limbo too. It was a blast!

The Snow

So we went 4 wheeling... it was so cool and cold.
We are so happy that finals are finally OVER, and now we can relax a bit an enjoy this season.
We went with Victor and Amanda, we had such a great time. We played Guitar Hero, baked and ate lots of candy.... and Dave (Amanda's dad ) cooked the best chili ever!

Tis the Season!

So we have had lots of festivities to start bringing the spirit of Christmas into our home. We went to 2 Christmas parties already and last night we were privileged to go to the Christmas Devotional! We were happily keeping the Sabbath day holy by taking a nap when we kept getting interupted by our annoying cell phones. People kept calling about every 15 minutes, so each time we were 1/2 alseep when another call would come... So, 4:00 rolled around and another call came in.
I sleepily answered it and my visiting teacher invited us to go to the devotional with them cuz they had extra tickets!
So, we were like "yeah! cool!"
and they were like "okay we'll bring the tickets over right now!"
"oh! okay!" ( while I'm thinking I'm all gross with bed head from sleeping etc...)
So 2 minutes later the door bell rings (no joke)
Francisco jumps out of bed and gets dressed super quick and I too am quickly throwing on clothes to be decent enough to get the door.
Anyway, so we had to get ready in just minutes to get to the devotional on time! It was nuts!

but we got there, everything was beautiful and the talks were awesome! One of our favorite parts was when the entire audience (21,000 people) sang "Joy to the World". It was so powerful and beautiful. We also loved President Uchtdorf's talk on how Christmas is about light and that we don't need a lot of material things to have a good Christmas; that the bad economy might even be a blessing to some to remember the true meaning of Christmas. Then President Eyring talked about traditions. We loved his story of the live nativity and Samuel the Lamanite. :) We also loved his testimony at the end. It was so direct, so simple and so powerful. and of course President Monson's talk was great! He talked about giving and charity and the true meaning behind Christmas, to remember Christ.

We are so happy for this time of year and the opportunity that we have to share with other our beliefs about the Son of God, the Redeemer and Savior of the world with our friends and loved ones!
Afterwards we went to Temple Square to see the lights. It was cold but it was nice!
Francisco and I are so happy that my parents are coming for the holidays and that baby Claire is being born! phew!!! That was a lot!

4.) Buy a palmogranite and decide how many I will need to put on 100 salads for the RS Christmas dinner.
5.) Don't forget my end of the year assessment at 3:30 with my supervisor! yikes!

Thanksgiving!!!! Yum! Yum!

The cousins and their babies....... The family is growing so fast...It was nice to spend with all the family. First we went over Amanda's family and we had a wonderful feast. Then we drove to Bountiful to visit the other side of the family where everyone pretty much just had a baby. So the phrase "Multiply and replenish the earth" they take it seriously.
Emily now wants a baby...............................She wants a girl...... We will just have to see what happens.

Our (Future) Happy Family

The best daddy in the world kissing his sweet little girl, Isabelle. We are so proud of her; she is just so talented! She smiles and giggles and stares at us and she's only 2 months old! How amazing! Ahhh...



And here's our sweet little boy dressed up as a monkey. I can't believe he's 1 year old already! This year has just gone by so fast! He is such a goofball! He loves to run and get into things (of course) and we just have a blast together! The other day Francisco put a post-it note on his forehead and when he'd look up, he'd see it and tilt his head back to try to see it better and try to find it with his hands but always felt his head and never his forehead! It was so funny! haha


Yes we will have a wonderful life in 3 years-ish... 2 kids and just pure bliss. What a wonderful life. no school (for me at least) no homework (meaning no essays and projects) the only thing I'll have to do love my babies. It's going to be such a cinch! Easy as pie!...

(I want to thank the actors in this post. Alanis, the adorable little spider. She is 3 months old now and the love of Alicia and Matt's lives (not ours). So she Francisco's 2nd cousin once removed? Maybe? I don't really know how that works... Alanis is the daughter of Francisco's cousin. and last but not least, our adorable nephew, Nathaniel, our little monkey. (We thank God when we get to give him back though!) No, he is a little goof ball and the post-it note story did actually happen. :)
