What do you think????

Okay, so we get to find out what the gender of the baby is in 2 weeks! We are so excited and can't wait to start buying clothes and thinking about crib sets and everything! We have decided on names for a boy or a girl too!

For a girl, we really like:
Julia Rose Darquea

For a boy, we really like:
Luke Javier Darquea

So what do you think our baby will be? Baby Julia or baby Luke? Let us know your guesses and your opinions on the names!

Stuff n Stuff n Stuff

okay, so I know it's been forever and a half since I posted last. Yes, I know I am a complete slacker. I'm sorry. but being pregnant is tough! okay, so I'm making excuses. Well, this post will be a little bit boring due to not having tons of time (I'm at work right now) and due to not having pictures. Here is just a quick re-cap of the last month-ish.

1- I passed Pathophysiology! woohoo!

2- We moved from our trailer to a townhouse-- Although we weren't planning on moving, it was super cute and we got a really great deal.

3- I planted a flower bed out front and a garden out back. I was very proud.

4- Francisco's entire family came all the way from Florida to drop off his sister, Catherine. She's going to school and living with us now!

4.5- Heard the heart beat of our little one. What a beautful sound to a new mother's ears. I still just want to hear it every day. :)

5- Went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House, Temple Square, Timpanogos Caves, Shopping with Ines to buy maternity clothes, and lots of other great stuff with the fam.

6- As soon as they left, we moved. AGAIN! Yeah, it totally stunk and I was not happy about it, but I was glad to be out of the hands of a person who obviously does not know how to rent houses to people. At one point our electricity was turned off, cuz he didn't pay, our gas was turned off, cuz he didn't pay, and finally for the grand finally, we get a paper on our door saying the house is in foreclosure, cuz guess what? He didn't pay. Anyway, we are now in a place with a contract, etc, and haven't recieved any notes on our door. So, that's good.

7- Was sad that I now have no garden or flower bed.

8- My family comes to visit all the way from Oregon!

9- We get sealed in the Salt Lake Temple by Elder Kichuchi. It was incredible.

10- We watched fireworks, went camping, played tennis, played the 'signs' game, went swimming, etc.

We have had a pretty good summer so far. Francisco is struggling through another term of school only to start again in the fall. He is crazy.

The pregnancy is good. I'm feeling a whole lot better, and starting to get my energy back! woohoo!

Anyway congrats if you finshed this! It was long!

We're DONE! YAY!

WOOHOO! Winter term is officially over--- spring starts next week, but that means we have a well deserved mini spring break! :) We both took our last finals today. The line at the testing center was outrageous! (All the way out the door and wrapped around the corner! but thankfully the weather is gorgeous so I didn't mind spending a little more time outside.
We have an exciting week planned out:
We're having a little bonfire up the canyon with some friends to celebrate the end of finals.
Tomorrow we are going to a birthday party for my friend Sara S.
and Saturday we are going to another birthday party for our cousin Alicia, I think. Either that or there is a ward dance that we could go to also.
and the Sunday (after church of course) We are headed to Las Vegas for a few nights! woohoo!!! We got a really good rate on a hotel so we plan to eat at buffets, go to some shows, and just spend some time outside of Utah!
We get back on Wednesday (and actually miss 2 days of spring term... oh well) It's totally worth it!
Hmm. life is good. We have just been enjoying the nice weather. I'm looking for good books to read-- any suggestions?

25 years

I just wanted to take a minute and show my appreciation for my parents and congratulate them on having 25 years of marital bliss! I know your anniversary was several weeks ago but Happy Anniversary anyway!

I love you both so much and I am so glad that I can you as parents. Thank you for sticking with us through hard times and giving us everything we ever needed. You are the best!

Ma, I love you with all my heart. You are my favorite person to talk to and I know I can always count on you to give wonderful advice and make me laugh. You are my best friend and I wish I lived closer to you so that we could hangout more. Thank you for always being there for me and being the "cool mom". I really mean that!

Pa, I am so proud of you. I know it wasn't easy to go against what your parents believe to join the church. I want you to know that I know the church is true and I am so thankful that you really took the time to ponder out in your heart and found out for yourself. I also want you to know how much it meant to all of us that you supported us all those years by going to church and church activities with us. You have always been the rock of our family and have given us the support that we need. You are so good to Ma. Thank you for taking care of her. It means a lot to me to be able to see the love between you grow. You are such a good husband and dad.

I am so excited and feel so blessed that we will be sealed in the temple this summer as an eternal family and that all of us will be blessed with those celestial blessings. I can't wait to see you both is June!

Geez, I'm such a wuss. I am totally crying.

Anyway, Happy Anniversary and I love you!

(and sorry about the goofy laying down picture... These were the only pictures I had of you guys!:)

General Conference

General Conference was great wasn't it?

As we discussed it afterward we came up with a few good themes from throughout the conference.

1. Your happiness is as bright as your faith. We are coming up on some trying times, but as long as we have faith in the Lord, we can make it through this life!

2. Stop being selfish-- share what you have and don't spend money that you don't have. We are living in a time of entitlement and we seem to think that we need these things that we really don't.
3. You get out of church what you put into it. Have a good attitude and really worship Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ while you are at church and at the temple. Don't just go through the motions. Go with a purpose.

I really love getting to hear the Apostles and Prophet of the church at conference. They are such wise people and I know that they truly receive revelation from Heavenly Father to share with us. They don't make this counsel up! These were the things that Our Heavenly Father wanted us to know at this time. They are true and I will do my best to take that counsel to heart and work on my weaknesses. :)

Arizona Wedding Trip

So, as everyone knows, we all went to Arizona for Jeff's wedding. It was great! We love Promise and are so excited to get to know her better. The temple (Snowflake AZ Temple) was just gorgeous. The reception was great and I think everything went smoothly!

Jeff getting the guarder garter garder. What is it???? oh well. anyway it was fun.

Ma and Jeff in the Father/daughter Mother/son dance. :) Precious. (My husband was the one who intruded and took the picture-- teasing my mom the whole time of course!)

The trip was nice, although I had a ridiculous amount of homework due the following week and therefore was supposed to do it on the road. Well... I did do some but probably not as much as I should have. Oh well! It all worked out and I got all my homework and papers in and I did well on my presentations (I had 2 that week). It's just really hard to read text books when you have a bored husband driving in the middle of nowhere and it's hard to create power points when the sun is so bright that you can't see the screen! ( I actually ended up putting a blanket over my head and the laptop so that I could see it! It worked well!)

Anyway, on the way to Arizona, we followed Sarah and Brett the whole way. It was nice because we didn't have to worry about directions and we got to hang out when we stopped to eat. We ate Burger King twice on that trip because that was all there was! Ick! (None of us even LIKE Burger King) We did bring snacks though so it wasn't too bad.

We really enjoyed the scenery in Arizona and Southern Utah. We passed through several National parks and on the way home, we stopped at a really cool canyon. I think it was called Glen Canyon. We also really liked the cactus forests but didn't get a picture of them! They were so cool! You know the classic giant cacti? They were just like that! but fields of them!

A cool arch in southern Utah I think.

Trying to take a picture of ourselves with the canyon... It didn't work real well.... oh well. (And disreguard the greasiness...)
The canyon. It was gorgeous and the water was bright green!

We had fun seeing my parents and getting to know some of Promise's family. She has an uncle who lives in Provo and his wife is from Peru so they both spoke Spanish. Therefore Francisco made them believe that I spoke fluent Spanish so they talked to me in total natural spanish. yeah. So, I can speak Spanish but I don't understand it when they get all talkity and slangy so appearently she was telling me how to prepare some soup... hmm. I had NO idea she was saying that. haha They were very nice though. :)

It's been awhile and I'm procrastinating...

These were the flowers Francisco got me for my birthday! They started out a little beat up, but with some water and love, they looked beautiful! I came home from work the night before my birthday and Francisco had these on top of my presents all set up in the living room! Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes and presents! It turned out to be a pretty good birthday. :)

Francisco and I went rock climbing about a month ago... I convinced him to take me to the Quarry, a local rock gym because I missed rock climbing! (I used to have friends take me often enough to keep me satified but I hadn't gone in awhile) So, we went and I think he liked it even more than I did! but It's wicked expensive so we can't go real often...
This is me on the bouldering wall (you just climb without getting hooked up and stuff) but I didn't like these walls because I couldn't get down!!!! I has too scared to jump and my arms were too tired to climb down. So I would never get very high on these ones. I did make it to the top on one of the easier runs down at the regular walls.
and Francisco was a pro! He could just climb right up with no problems! We only had someone take pictures of the real wall when he was climbing! So that's why I have no proof of me on the tall walls.

Anyway it was great fun! Afterwards we went to Coldstone for icecream and bought a lamp from Shopko (from my parents for Christmas-- Thanks Ma and Pa!) and Francisco left his lights on in the car so we had to ask someone to help us jump it! Silly boy. We are just thankful for so many nice people in Utah!
