Mis padres (My parents)

My parents

Mi mami

Mi papi

These are my parents back in the day. I was going through some of the old pictures that my sister Catherine brought back from Ecuador. I decided to scan a few to preserve them better. I'll be posting more old pictures. I wish I had story for those pictures but sadly I don't.
I love my parents.

Me and my shadow

This is a long video and it might be boring for some of you, but as a parent I thought it was super cute and hilarious! Luke is so sweet.

Surprise Baby Shower !!!!

Amanda organized a surprise baby shower for Emily. Emily loved it and she will have to blog about it once she gets a break from her internship. I just want to post some picture so that we'll remember this special occasion.
Amanda  made this wonderful and yummy cake
Just too cute! The kids were playing on the play set that day.

Cousin love.

Our 4th of July fireworks

I just have to say that our 4th of July was amazing. Not only we had amazing fireworks, but we had Emma's family visiting from Oregon. Stadium of fire at BYU stadium was a blast and definitely my favorite 4th of July so far. We had David Archilute and Brad Paisley singing. Even though I didn't know any of their songs they sing pretty well, I guess that's why their famous. David sang the Star Spangled Banner and it was way cool.
Any way here are some pictures of us enjoying and celebrating the independence of the USA.

Thank you Catherine for baby sitting Luke on a Friday night!!!! We truly love you and appreciate all you do for us. You are a great baby sitter and Luke loves you too.

Life as it is.

Luke usually wakes up between 7:00-8:00 am. Today it was a different story; he decided to wake up at 5:20 am.!!! What is this little turkey thinking???? I tried to bring him into our bedroom because I still wanted to sleep, especially since I went to bed around midnight, but he was screaming his head off.  Emily has to go to work and being pregnant she needs as much sleep as possible so I decided to take Luke downstairs and do his normal routine which is to have a bottle of milk and watch cartoons. Cartoons at 5 in the morning is NOT my favorite thing to do. I wanted to throw him on the air mattress which is in the middle of our living room (we are moving and already sold our furniture) so that I could go back to sleep.

On the way down he cuddled his little head on my neck and wrap his little hands around me. How could I be upset? All those feelings of tiredness and grumpiness melted away. I laid with him on the air mattress and we didn't even turn on the TV or get milk. He simply grabbed my face and pulled it towards him. He likes it when my lips touch his forehead. He fell asleep again. I guess he just wanted to sleep with papi. I couldn't sleep anymore so I just laid there thinking about mostly everything (moving to TX, dental school, Sam almost being here with us, Emily's internship, Luke growing so fast and so forth). It was just then when I thought of my mom and all the hard work it is to raise children. Thank you MOM for everything you did for me! I love you.  Being a good parent is definitely not for wimps.

Here are some old pictures of Luke when he was about 2 months old.

Precious little hands.

Love, what is it???

For some love is a feeling, and for others love is a verb.

If love is "just" a verb then most people would argue that is a conditional love. If you do this then...I love you.

If love is "just" a feeling then wouldn't that feeling motivate you to do something? To go beyond your comfort zone and do things you wouldn't normally want to do?

I've decided to have unconditional love for the person, despite what they do or don't do.
What do you think?

4th of July weekend!!!!!

So we finally woke up at 6:00 am to watch the balloons take off! It was pretty cool to see all the balloons with their bright colors. We met up with Sarah, Brett, the girls and Emily's parents. The sun was still hiding behind the gorgeous Provo mountains and the weather was warm. Afterwards we went to Cracker-barrel for a delicious old fashion breakfast .

There you have it! First collage in photoshop. (Not too bad!)
Here are some more pictures for you guys to enjoy!

Look at that balloon taking off! (instead of Look I wrote Luke! hahaha)

Luke still in his pajamas! : )

I think it would be cool the actually ride one. We got on the one in Downtown Disney but it wasn't a huge ride or anything. Has anyone actually got to ride one?

Look at them go!

Darth Vador: "Luke I am your father" hahaha (even though I have never seen a star-wars movie)

Mi chiquito bello (My handsome little one)

Former First Lady Barbara Bush said it beautifully to the graduating students at Wellesley College: "As important as your obligations as a doctor, lawyer, or business leader will be, you are a human being first, and those human connections--with spouses, with children, with friends--are the most important investments you will ever make. At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, not winning one more verdict, or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a child, a friend, or a parent...Our success as society depends not on what happens in the white House but on what happens inside your house"

I'm happy I can spend so much time with my little one! He loves the park and the outside. He always wants to be on the go. Here are some picture Emily took of him at the park.

This is his "say cheese" smile

He really enjoys the slide and he is not afraid of it at all

I've never seen him so excited about the swing. He was just having a blast giggling like crazy, you should've been there to see the excitement on his face.

When it was time to go home, he didn't want to get off and threw a little tantrum. Even then I thought he looked so cute.

The splash pad in Spanish Fork is AWESOME!

As usual playing with his "pupo" (belly button)

We went to the splash pad in Spanish Fork and Luke just loves it, period! He couldn't wait to go into the water. He loves getting wet and loves playing with water, in fact he was freezing but wanted to keep playing! Good thing we had warm weather (90°F).
Alanis was shy at first and didn't want to get wet, but it wasn't long before she was soaking wet!

As you can see she barely wants to touch the water! Silly girl : )

After a while she was running like crazy. I love the way children can enjoy the simple things of life!

Meanwhile Luke was getting splashed all over his face but he didn't seem to complain : )

Sea food!

My aunt Jacqueline and cousin Alicia came to visit me the other day and that gave me a good excuse to cook some garlic shrimp! It was delicious, I'm so sorry for any readers out there that haven't develop a taste for sea food, they are missing some good stuff!
